Jack has spent most of this lifetime involved in metaphysical and theosophical pursuits.  In 1989 he dissolved his Environmental Engineering practice and formed a New Age Group Travel Company called Mystical Journeys, .which  went on to become the premier  provider of Experiential Group Travel Programs to world's Sacred Sites, and Mystical places.

In 1997, Jack's Internet Marketing Company Marketing Methods Inc. acquired NewAgeInfo.com, which has been serving the New Age community on the Internet as New Age Web Works since 1995. Since then, MMI developed over a dozen individual New Age Internet sites that make up the New Age Web Works family. Most of these operate today under the management of Jack's partner and webmaster (since 1999), Robert Scheer. Jack and Robert are both considered to be knowledgeable leaders in the New Age, Metaphysical, and Alternative Health & Wellness worldwide communities.  

In addition to the time that he still devotes to this work, Jack operates a Medical Tourism company called Global Surgery Providers, sending Americans out of the country to receive medical and surgical procedures at some of the most qualified and highly rated facilities in the world... After 27 years as a writer, producer and marketing consultant in the broadcasting industry, Robert started the New Age travel magazine Power Trips in 1997. Devoted to Mother Earth's sacred places, Power Trips soon became affiliated with Jack Schafer's Mystical Journeys travel company.

 When Power Trips ceased publication in 1999, Robert joined the Marketing Methods Inc. team, working on the New Age Info, New Age Journal, and New Age Travel websites.

After a hiatus for several years, during which Robert worked as a magazine editor and travel writer, he has now returned to the New Age Web Works family, and is presently a full partner with Marketing Methods, the parent company of all of these New Age related sites. . .
